Steps to log in to Pharos:
Sign in ONCE with your @nwu.ac.za or @mynwu.ac.za (e.g.: name@universitydomainname.ac.za ) email address with the below steps to authenticate your email.
After authentication, you will be able to always click on the "Sign in" and "University login" on the left of the home page. Use your @domain.ac.za email address and gain automatic access to www.pharosonline.co.za 40+ dictionaries in Afrikaans and English.
- Go to www.pharosonline.co.za and click on the Already a member? "Sign in" on the left of the page.
- Now click on "University login".
- Type your @domain.ac.za domain email address where it says: "Enter your email address" and create an easy password. (Write it down to use it again; this is not your computer (CAS) password.)
- You will receive an authentication email from no-reply@auth0user.net. The message on PharosOnline reads: "Verification email sent. Please verify before logging in". Look out for the email from Pharos with the subject: "Verify your account".
- Go to your spam/junk folder if it is not immediately found in your inbox.
- Open it and follow step 5.
- In your inbox, open the "Verify your email" email from Pharos no-reply@auth0user.net. Now click on the orange block with the message: "VERIFY YOUR ACCOUNT". Thank you, the authentication process is done!
- Go to www.PharosOnline.co.za again and click on the "Log in" option. Sign in with your @domain.ac.za email address and the password you created.
- From now onwards you can sign in on the left side by going to the "Sign in" and "University login" options with only your @domain.ac.za e-mail address.
NOTE: If you're already signed in, remember to view the add-on resources like AWS when you click on the HOME icon, and the selection will be seen just below the orange top bar.
